www.cameraleather.com has very nice black leatherette kits for Contax and especially for Yashica (to replace the oh-so-fragile OEM kit). Martin S.
Try Mark Hama Ltd. of Georgia - www.markhama.com - for Yashica 35mm SLR and TLR repairs.
How to easily repair a loose film advance lever on a Yashica FX-3 Super 2000
Remove the two screws on the bottom of the film advance lever. You may need to fire the shutter in order to move the lever away from the body, so that you have access to these screws.
Once the two small screws have been removed, lift off the top half of the lever (this is plastic).
You will now see a large brass Phillips screw in the middle of the lever. This screw is reverse threaded; i.e., it's not "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey". It is a left-handed thread; you need to screw counter-clockwise in order to tighten this screw.
Once the lever screw is tightened to your satisfaction (don't over-tighten it) then simply reverse steps number 2 and 1 (above) and voila; you have saved yourself a trip to the repair shop!
