2 series of Cable Switches were produced.
The original S Series was used with the RTS and Yashica FR bodies. They were produced in 30, 100, 300 and 1000cm lengths and had a lock switch for continuous camera operation with a drive or for long exposures. The switches were activated by a thumb-operated plunger.
On the introduction of the 137s and the 139, these were sold with an R6SJ adapter to allow them to be used on these new bodies.
The later L-Series were offered in the same lengths, but had the revised connector for all later Contax bodies (except the S2/S2b). Many were sold initially with the R6SJ adapter cord.
