SqueakFoundation Board Elections

The yearly board elections are coming up. I’ll be running for another term, mostly because the actual incorporation of SqF is tantalizingly close and I want to see it through :-) .

I’m in a bit of a hurry now, will add some ideas about how I see SqF later on. In the meantime, feel free to ask me questions through the comments section of this post.

Information on the elections can be found here.

A while back you wrote, “Are we killing Squeak?”.

Has anything more become of this other than the comments to your blog post? Is there anything you would like to address regarding this if you were to win? Is there any initiatives you would like to push? What can we do? Is there a vision?

    Look forward to your response…

Well… I outlined in that post how we might do this. Not so much per se as a concrete implementaton, but more as an example of what could be done. I am very much committed to keeping Squeak a living system. However, the Board does not make technology decisions on behalf of the Squeak community - we basically serve the community by trying to provide a support infrastructure. So all you can do is write blogposts like this and hope someone notices, or wait for some moment in time to come up where I can attack this problem along the path I proposed myself :)
