A feasible business model?
By way of the Scrum mailing list, Cambrian House is a start-up that looks like a promising way to do business. It is a bit like previous sites that tried to invoke the Net community to do work, but this one might actually turn out to be a good idea.
Basically, what you can do is submit ideas. Ideas are then pitted against each other in “idea wars” where site visitors constantly select the more promising idea from a set of two. The winning ideas then are turned into projects, and a royalty structure (with 10% for the submitter of the idea) than should entice developers to contribute.
Definitely a site that warrants tracking. If only for all the good ideas that pass by. Besides, people that decide to buy Google pizza for lunch unannounced, are worth tracking

Great post. Have you submitted any ideas yet? This would be cool to even test ideas that you have rolling around in your head. Heck some kid in Russia might have the best idea. If the idea got big…who knows, maybe people around the world will be cashing in on their ideas? A person doesn’t even need to be a developer from what I read! Neat idea!
