Read this: Quantum computer solves problem, without running. My conclusion: this article would be a whole lot easier to swallow if the date would have said “April, 1″ instead of “February 22″.

Yesterday, I read about tabletop particle accellerators in Scientific American - electrons surfing shockwaves, roughly. And a couple of weeks before that, an announcement that near speed-of-light travel might actually be feasible because of anti-gravity effects.

We sure live in interesting times…
