Coldplay X&Y

I think they’re mostly a U2 rip-off, but Coldplay isn’t bad, so I bought the CD for a whopping 1.43 euros or so at allofmp3. Turns out that this was the right decision - Virgin has gone mad in a blatant attempt to rip off consumers by including a large list of circumstances in which the CD won’t play on a leaflet inside the CD and including a statement that their crippling the CD and abusing the CDDA logo isn’t reason for a refund (I wonder what these lawyers have been smoking - this isn’t going to stand up in any court of law). I’m itching to buy a Coldplay CD in a random store, open it, and return it demanding a full refund…

Virgin: you’re a bunch of money-greedy jerks. If you want to scare customers away by applying DRM to your CD’s (you know, the kind of customers that actually want to pay money to support your lavish lifestyle), be at least upfront about it and include the leaflet on the outside.
