Well, isn’t that nice - I got a Friends of Laphroaig Christmas Card.

Usually, I don’t fall for that sort of “you’re not our customer, you’re our friend” stuff. But the folk at Laphroaig, especially the previous manager, have made such a thing out of it that they’ve now got a quarter of a million of them. If you want to have a good laugh, buy a bottle of the stuff, use the bar code to become a friend, and visit Islay as soon as possible. Really.

I mean - Scotsmen giving stuff away (plots of land, bottles of whiskey) - who cannot fall for that?
