One of the big advantages of the open-source philosophy is that it allows executives to use altruistic language in justifying decisions that happen also to coincide with their business interests.

I wonder whether their opening of patents for healthcare will help - everything I’ve seen from hospitals the last years is that they’re stuck in the ’70’s: badly organized, and badly technologized (except for the expensive medical gizmos, of course)
