Regarding the FX-3 leather, I don't find the original stuff satisfactory,
and putting real leather on would be a better option.

Comments for your FAQ:

Yashica FR, FR-1, FR-II: These are have the same body and shutterbox (Contax
RTS shutterbox).  The FR is manual only, the FR-1 manual and aperture
priority, and the FR-II aperture priority only (with flash sync and bulb).

The FX-3 Super 2000 has a top shutter speed of 1/2000.  Does the original
FX-3 have this speed?  You mention that it is as simple a camera as you have
seen.  The Contax S2 and S2b have the same features with the addition of
1/4000 top shutter speed, 1/200 flash sync, depth of field preview button,
smoother feel, and Contax price.

Lenses that I'm aware of:
24/2.8 ML - a very good lens by all accounts
55/2.8 macro
35-70/3.5 - I've had good results with this lens
I know that they make a 500/8 and 1000/11 mirror lens

Lenses I currently use:
YUS 28/2.8, YUS 135/2.8.  These are acceptable, but I still use Zeiss most
of the time.
