Don't have the Yashica, but the Sun, which I assume to be worse. Made some 
wonderful pictures with it, nice and sharp on Fuji Reala at 8x12". Anything is 
better than a cheapo Sigma zoom, I guess :-)

(I don't have an opinion on plastic vs. metal. Even Nikon uses plastic 
nowadays, so it can't be completely crappy.)
